Linnea

The day you were born I was there. You were so very beautiful. So much black hair and you had beautiful baby blue eyes. When I first saw you I was standing over you, a tear rolled down my cheek and fell onto your chest I will always remember that moment.

You are my daughter and I will always love you my baby girl.

A daughter needs a dad who will laugh at her at all the right times. Who will always have time to give her hugs and kisses. Who does not mind when she steps on his toes while dancing.Who will always make sure she has a place to come home. Thank you for being that Dad! Love you Daddy, Linnea

So I'm a little late. Happy father's day, my friend.

I remember when Linnea was born. I remember asking for time off of work, the second time in a month I has taken a week or so off. I remember trying to find a ride down there, and asking some friends whom I had only known for a week if they wanted to take a road trip. Chandelle had only had her license for like a month, but she had a new SUV and could at least make the trip there and back. Then getting Joe to come down from Seattle and loading up, the 4 of us, to visit your newborn baby girl.

What a trip that was: arguements, frustration, laughs, scares, you being a jerk and telling Jessica about the pictures, riding trains and learning that Chandelle's father was a lot more fun then Chandelle was :-). I even paid for everything for everyone on the way down (Chandelle's father paid for the trip back up, thank God). But you know, it was most definately worth it. Seeing Jacob, Tara, you, and of course your daughter, it was one of the highlights of my life. Thanks for being so much more interesting then the rest of us old crew (except maybe Joe in Africa), we would have long ago died of boredom if not for you, my friend.
